Follistatin 344 is a recombinant form of naturally occurring follistatin. It comprises 323 Amino acids, and a carbohydrate chain is attached to its core, making it a naturally occurring glycoprotein.

Follistatin is a glycoprotein produced by folliculostellate cells (FS) located in the anterior pituitary gland and follows the autocrine signaling pathway.


Follistatin 344 inhibits myostatin's activity, resulting in increased growth of muscle fibers in the body. Higher growth of muscle cells means that the overall muscle mass increases, resulting in amplified strength.
